Travel Essentials: What’s in My Beauty & Skincare Bag?

The Best Travel-Friendly Beauty Products to Keep You Glowing on the Go

Traveling is all about new adventures, breathtaking views, and unforgettable experiences—but keeping your beauty routine simple and effective while on the go? That’s the real challenge! Since my skin can’t handle too many layers, I keep my products minimal yet effective, focusing on skincare, makeup, and body care essentials that help me stay fresh and glowing no matter where I am.

Skincare Essentials

  • Revuele Ceramide Cleanser / Dove Pomegranate Beauty Cream Bar – I rotate between these two, and yes, the beauty cream bar works wonders for my skin! The creaminess keeps my face highly moisturized and not stripped
  • Ziaja Manuka Tree Purifying Toner – My absolute must-have for keeping my skin refreshed and balanced throughout my travels. A couple of spritzes and you’re good to go. There are some days when I apply the toner and then call it a day for my face but that’s at home—not on my travels.
  • Garnier Micellar Water – Very gentle and effective for removing dirt and makeup without needing to rinse—perfect for long flights or quick refreshes.
  • COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All-in-One Cream – K-beauty already has a track record for giving class skin and this moisturizer provides deep hydration without feeling heavy—great for replenishing moisture after a long day.
  • Vaseline Aloe Jelly (as a Lip Mask) – Even though it is mainly for my body as a moisturizer, I simply cannot resist making it my go-to for soft, hydrated lips, especially in dry airplane air or hot climates. Chapped lips? It literally heals overnight.

Makeup Must-Haves

I personally go super light on my make-up because of my oily, acne prone skin. I try to go as minimal as possible especially when I am on the move.

  • Hydra Vizor Huez Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum Mineral SPF 30 Sunscreen – Lightweight and breathable, offering just the right amount of coverage without clogging pores. I mean, who doesn’t want a sunscreen that doubles as a skin tint? Not me!
  • Glossier Cloud Paint (Cream Blush) – One of my absolute favorite cream blushes. It does not feel heavy on my skin and it adds a natural, dewy flush without needing all those extra tools.
  • Essence Mascara – Super affordable yet super effective, giving my lashes volume and definition without clumping. This should not be slept on because Essence really does have one of the best mascaras.
  • Avon Craze Lip Gloss (Chocolate Brownie) – Hydrating, glossy, and perfect for an effortless look. Even though Avon is not a brand people usually go for, I love them to bits because they always deliver. The brown shade makes it super easy for me on the go because as a dark skinned girl on vacation, I sometimes have no time for lip combos. If I want a change, I go for the pink shade (Strawberry Glaze).

Body Care Essentials

This is where it gets crazy especially because unlike my face, my skin is quite dry but still very much sweat prone

  • Bondi Sands Sunscreen SPF 50+ – My go-to for sun protection, especially since I have oily skin and am heavily prone to sweating.
  • Dove Purely Pampering Body Wash – A gentle, shea butter and warm vanilla body wash a sweet scent to keep my skin fresh, clean and smelling yummy
  • Dove Pomegranate Beauty Cream Bar – Doubles as a facial cleanser and body wash—perfect for keeping my routine minimal.
  • L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil – This is a hydrating body cleanser and shaving oil in one. I do travel with it but does not accompany me on every single travel, especially if I want to cut down on product weight.
  • Vaseline Aloe Jelly & EOS Vanilla Cashmere Lotion – I swear by this Vaseline jelly and Eos combo. My favorite moisturizers for keeping my skin moisturized and soft. The secret is using the aloe jelly on body parts that get ashy and dry easily, AFTER using the Eos. I am talking elbows, ankles and even my soles. Yes-under my feet
  • Vaseline Cocoa Radiant Body Oil – Locks in moisture and gives my skin a beautiful glow.
  • Sanex Deodorant & Sure Bright Bouquet Deodorant – Both keep me fresh and as sweat-free as possible throughout the day. As someone who sweats a lot, these two babies help with odor combat
  • Gingham Bath & Body Works Lotion – Smells amazing and I always have this on me everywhere I go for reapplication after washing my hands and when I want to smell good in general.
  • Megababe Thigh Rescue – A lifesaver for preventing irritation and sweat buildup, especially in warm climates.
  • Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream (Mini Size) – A lightweight, fast-absorbing moisturizer that smells amazing and keeps my skin soft. Perfect for the mini bags when stepping out.

These are my go-to travel-friendly beauty products that keep my skin and body happy while exploring new places!
